Richard Odneal

February 18, 1965 - September 3, 2019

Richard Odneal, loving father and friend passed away unexpectedly at age 54 on September 3, 2019.

Richard is survived by his mother Patricia Ortis, his daughters Madison and Lindsey Odneal with their mother Jennifer Timmis, his sister Shelli Sullivan, and his niece Katie Schmiderer. Richard is also survived by his extended family of Virginia Odneal Lynn, her husband Dion, their daughter Mika, and their son Kaigan.

Rick treasured the time spent with his friends and family but enjoyed most the time with his daughters, Madison and Lindsey. The many activities they did together will always be cherished. Boating on various lakes, the school activities, debating which movie to watch and what music they liked, and of course the singing in the car for all to hear.

His world was full of longtime friends and colleagues from his school years in Vista, CA. to his theatrical work in California, Arizona, and Las Vegas. Rick’s love of theatre began in High School and that love of entertainment never left him. It will live on in his friends and family. All of who remember the shows they did together, the multitude of projects Rick was involved in, and with his brothers and sisters of IATSE Local 720.

One of Rick’s favorite activities, aside from spending time with his daughters, was to be involved with Paintball. He had many a story to tell after the tournaments with his teams. Big Rich, as he was known, looked forward to his time on and off the field with his paintball family.

Rick’s enormous laughter and wide smile will be missed.
