Jeffrey Lawrence

September 24, 1987 — December 22, 2020

Jeffrey Robert “Jeff” Lawrence September 24, 1987-December 22, 2020

Jeff unexpectedly passed away on December 22, 2020, in Las Vegas, NV. He was greeted by both sets of his grandparents in Heaven. He is survived by his father Jim and his wife Jeannine; his mother Sue; his sister Heidi and her husband Keith; his brother Matthew and his wife Vanessa and their three children; the love of his life Jenna; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

One of Jeff’s favorite pastimes was playing and watching sports. Having spent his early years in Minnesota he was a fan of the Vikings, Twins and Wild and enjoyed traveling all over the US with Jenna to watch those teams play. His father treasured the moments when they could enjoy a game together.

As a child he was part of a travelling baseball team and was invited to play in a National tournament at the Walt Disney World Baseball Complex. It was a memorable experience for him to pitch in a game and play against teams from all across America. Jeff was an avid golfer with a low handicap who constantly worked to improve his game. He enjoyed playing golf with his brother and nephews and was able to turn his passion for golf into a career while he worked at several golf courses throughout his life.

Jeff inherited his father’s love for classic cars and his mother’s passion for travel. He visited many car related events with his father and dreamed of owning a restored Pontiac GTO. He liked exploring scenic areas and finding new golf courses along the way. One of his favorite trips was visiting his sister and brother-in-law in Anchorage, AK. Another favorite trip was to Hawaii where he and Jenna created many fond memories together.  He also liked going to the Boundary Waters area of MN with his brother where they canoed and camped in the wilderness. Jeff enjoyed snowmobiling as part of his love of the outdoors.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis (www.stjude.org/donate) and The National Alliance on Mental Illness (www.NAMI.org) in Jeff’s name. A private ceremony for family and friends will be held in Minnesota at a later date.
