James Danielson Senior

July 31, 1946 — March 14, 2022

JAMES DAVID DANIELSON - James "Jimmy" Danielson, 75, beloved Father, was called to his eternal resting place on March 14, 2022.

Jimmy entered this world on July 31, 1946 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Delroy Carl Danielson and Evelyn E. (Langner) Danielson. The couple moved their family to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1955, where Jimmy attended Las Vegas High.

Jimmy served in the United States Army as an auto mechanic from 1966 to 1968, served one tour in Vietnam as a Truck Master, and achieved the rank of Sergeant before being honorably discharged. When stationed at Fort Meade, Maryland, he attended a polka dance where he met the love of his life, Patricia Ann Henry. After a short courtship, they were married on September 6, 1968, re-settled in Las Vegas, Nevada, and then stayed by each other's side until his passing. Jimmy was part of local Teamsters Union 631 and worked at a local air filter company and eventually retired from UPS.

Jimmy's hobbies included target shooting, rock hunting, and searching for hidden treasures at garage sales. He was known to his friends as the "Original Picker" because of his gifts to find unusual or unique goods. Jim also loved Las Vegas history and collected memorabilia from the old casinos and celebrities that performed on the strip.

Jimmy was a wonderful husband, a caring father, and was always willing to help out family and friends. Being a provider was his pride, and he always put others well-being first before his own needs. He had many unique and interesting stories about the city of Las Vegas, and the famous/infamous characters that resided there.

James is preceded in death by his mother Evelyn, father Delroy, brothers Richard, Ronald, and Brian, and sister Patricia.

James is survived by his wife of 54 years Patricia; daughter Cathleen and her husband Jeff Adcock, and sons Corey and Timothy; son James Jr. and his wife Sarah, daughter Mallory, and son Ethan; son Patrick and his wife Linnea, and daughters Madeline and Gabrielle; and brother Wayne.

Private visitation will occur on March 31, 2022. Funeral services will be held at Boulder City Veteran Memorial on June 6, 2022 at 11:20 A.M. with a celebration of life gathering to immediately follow.
