Halle Garong

June 14, 2003 — June 15, 2019

Las Vegas

Halle was born June 14th, 2003 at Mckay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, to Mary Wolford and Harold Garong, and went back home to her Heavenly Father June 15th, 2019, at the age of 16 years old. She met her step-father, Harland Wolford, when she was 11 years old on July 19th, 2014 in Phoenix, Arizona. That was the day they became inseparable. Harland made it official and became her father on Feb 5, 2016. Halle was the third oldest child and only girl out of three siblings. She also has other half brothers and an older sister. Halle was a unique child, she was not just a regular child, she grew up in a Military Family. She traveled the world with her mother and siblings, the military honors her for she who made sacrifices and served in their own way, a treasured resource, she is our hero. Halle was used to moving and making new friends everywhere she went, adapting so quickly. She moved from Roy Utah, to Royal Oak Michigan, to Chula Vista San Diego, Palmdale California, and then to Spring Valley Las Vegas.

Halle’s smile was welcoming and warmed everyone’s hearts. She was the type of person you wanted to be around because her energy brought happiness and joy to everyone. Halle was one of the most loving, caring, talented, brilliant, spontaneous, happy and amazing person you would ever meet, always putting others in front of her own needs. Halle attended Spring Valley High School where she was in the top of her class and in all honors classes, Halle was part of the schools Magnet Program. She learned to speak Japanese before she even decided to choose Japanese in school. She played Tennis and made Varsity on the Tennis Team and competed in numerous Tennis games, Halle also performed in theater, her biggest hit was the Into the Woods show, she couldn’t believe she made it, and was chosen to cast the show, she played the role of Cinderella’s step sister Lucinda, she was my star, she was a celebrity, a brilliant performance never to be forgotten, she also sang beautifully in school choir, wonderful performances every time. Some of her talents and hobbies included art, she was an amazing artist, paints and draws, anything she could think off, she made it come alive on paper, competitive improv, she made everyone laugh, she won all her improv shows, her team called her Nutmeg as we did when she was a child, and danced, Halle always practiced her dance in front of us, she was amazing, we

always clapped for her, we all loved it when she danced and then got to see her do it all in her performances on stage and her smile would make us feel so happy. Halle also loved to bake, one of her famous baking skills was making snickerdoodle cookies, her dad Harland loved them so much, he would sneak them from her and take some cookies to work. She also loved going to church, she would sing her heart out, as she would be signing along with the church choir. Halle also loved fashion, she would put things together and looked so amazing, like a fashion model. That came naturally for her, she would also draw and design clothes on paper when she was younger. Halle learned how to sew in school, she made a pillow and was willing to learn more and designing. Halle loved to listen to music, listening to different artist. She loved country most of all, every time I would get into my car the station would change and I would listen to country.

Halle poured her heart and soul into everything she did. Her mother, Mary, was her biggest supporter and number one fan, she would attend almost every performance for her princess, she made her proud. We are all grateful for the time we did get to spend with Halle and will cherish the memories we have of her forever. She is truly loved and missed by us all.

Halle is survived by five brothers, one sister and a close cousin whom she considered a brother; Wilfred N. Santos, Nicolas J. Santos, Kevin M. Garong, Jerrica & David Uncangco, Jason J. Garong, Nathan L. Garong & Samantha Sherman and Kyle J. Santos (cousin). They were all very close with Halle and loved her unconditionally.
