Gerald Lynch

September 27, 1932 — December 26, 2020

Gerald (Buck) W. Lynch, 88, passed away on December 26, 2020 in Las Vegas, NV. He was the son of Lloyd and Irene Lynch and brother of Kenneth Lynch. All preceded him in death. Gerald was born in Fairfield, IA. He later moved to Peoria, IL, where he attended Woodruff High School. Upon graduation he began his career at Caterpillar Inc, retiring at age 51.

He married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Jeanie Suter and they had four children. Connie (Lynch) Hageman of Sammamish, WA, Ken Lynch of St. George, UT and Glen Lynch of North Las Vegas survive with his wife Jeanie. Buck’s youngest son, Ronald Lynch of Colorado preceded him in death. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Adam Hageman, Matthew Hageman, Ashlee (Hageman) Osborn, Danielle (Lynch) Albertson, Dusty (Lynch) Geest, Misty (Lynch) Zellner, Esosa Makaila Lynch and Efe Melissa Lynch. He had eight great grandchildren, Brooklyn Hageman, Preslee Hageman, Trace Osborn, Kellen Osborn, Tristen Geest, Ivie Geest, Elle Zillner and Jake Zellner. Buck and Jeanie were blessed with 70 years together and were married for 68 years.

Buck was known for his big smile and friendly nature. He never knew a stranger. He loved talking to people and sharing his life experiences and learning about others. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Family meant the most to him. He liked road trips, finding a bargain at the grocery store, football and watching heavy equipment work at jobsites. After retiring, he and Jeanie lived in Apache Junction, AZ, Cottonwood, AZ, Wickenburg, AZ, Twin Falls, ID, Mesquite, NV before settling in North Las Vegas with their son, Glen.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made to The American Heart Association, Diabetes or donations to a food bank to help feed families in need.
