Frances Bower

Frances Jones Bower passed away on January 13, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Edward. She was a loving mother to 2 children, caring grand mother to 3 grand children and 3 great grand children.

Frances was born to Lucy and George Jones January 19, 1932 in Norton, Kansas. She was the youngest of 7 children.

Edward Jay Bower, son of May and Hobart Bower, and Frances were married May 12, 1951 in Norton, Kansas where both grew up and lived. Their family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1964.

Frances was active in the UMW at Trinty Methodist Church in Las Vegas for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Norton, Kansas for over 60 years. Ed and Fran enjoyed dancing at the top of the Dunes Hotel to Russ Morgan and country western dancing at the Saddle and Spurs for many years.

She worked in the medical field as an office manager and medical assistant. Her life was full of doing things for her family and many others.

Frances will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. In our hearts forever she will live.

Private family interment will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada at a later date.
