Amelia De Leon

January 22, 1950 — June 5, 2020

Amelia Tan De Leon, 70 years old, joined our creator on June 5, 2020 in Las Vegas NV. She peacefully moved on to the next life, surrounded by her loved ones and a rosary at hand.
Amelia was born in Santa Ines, Bacolor, Pampanga, Philippines to Gregorio Tan and Emilia Mallari on January 22, 1950.
Amelia earned her college degree at University of Santo Tomas as a Medical Technologist. She attended high school at Saint Scholastica's Academy and Bacolor Elementary School.
As a Mother and Grandmother, she has been the beating heart of the family ever since her first husband Eddie (as he was fondly called) passed away 27 years ago. As a single mom, she worked hard to give her four children a comfortable life. She supported us all through every aspect of our lives. She also provide support to her siblings– not out of obligation, but out of love. That is the kind of person Amelia was. She was always there to help and to give love. After her first husband, she found the second love of her life with Howard (who joined our creator 4 years ago). Amelia and Howard loved spending time finding hidden gems at thrift stores. Their other passions included traveling and enjoying cruises together. Our family called her our "Fashionista Mom," as she always had the best sense of style no matter the occasion.

Amelia was a very loving and caring Nana and she will especially be missed dearly by her grandchildren. As a grandmother, she prided herself at taking great care of her grandkids; she showered them regularly with love and gifts every chance she had.
She also has been a loyal and trusted employee of the Luna-Rodriguez family, starting in the Philippines, and later on in the US. She was employed by Mrs. Eileen (the mom) as well as by the Luna-Rodriguez children, Joey and Robby (alongside his wife Weng). Amelia taught us that trust is the most important foundation when it comes to building a lasting relationship. Thus, she was considered a part of their family.
Amelia is survived by three daughters and their spouses Ana Marie and Marc, Christie and Michael, Catherine and Jeffrey and Son, Edward with her 1st husband Eddie; Five Siblings -- Eduardo, Ofelia, Romeo, Gloria and Vicente; plus twenty step brothers and sisters namely -- Remedios, Ricardo, Reynaldo, Lilia, Evelyn, Julius, Yolanda, Lourdes, Alvin, Raymundo, Lolita, Fernado, Arturo,Milagros, Jojo, Julieta, Irma, Alexander, Maryrose and Francis. Her beloved grandchildren, John, Joanna, Johncel, Nicole, Michael Jason, Jayce and Amerie.
