William A. Richards Jr., 65, died Friday, November 6, 2020, in Las Vegas, NV, during vascular surgery.
Born January 24,1955, in Upland, CA. He was the son of William A. Richards Sr. and Barbara A. Finley.
He is survived by his father, William A. Richards Sr., his brothers, Christopher A. Richards and Mark A. Thomas and his nieces, Amy McGhee and Jennifer Sherman. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Wilson and a brother, Douglas Richards.
William graduated from Fullerton College in California with bachelor degrees in business and teaching. He taught schools and chess in Newport Beach, California, Ridgecrest, California, Phoenix, Arizona, and Las Vegas, Nevada. He was an accomplished chess player and managed the third largest chess club on chess.com.
Arrangements are under the care of Davis Funeral Home.
