Thelma Beck

July 19, 1925 — March 31, 2011

Thelma Irene Beck of Salt Lake City, Utah, died peacefully Thursday, March 31, 2011 in Salt Lake City. She was the widow of Len Beck, Jr. whose death preceded her in 1987. She will be buried alongside him in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, July 19, 1925, to Earl and Florence Irwin. Thelma was a 40 year resident of Las Vegas, Nevada and raised her family there. She spent the last ten years living with her children and being a special part of their families.
She was an employee of the Clark County school district for 18 years. She retired in 1990. She was an avid traveler in her retirement. She traveled to Alaska, Russia, Europe and the Mediterrean.
She is survived by her daughter, Marcie Conner Tom Conner, husband of Salt Lake City, sons, Douglas Beck Denise Beck, wife of Kirkland, Washington, Gregory Beck Lea Beck, wife of Wasilla, Alaska and Christopher Beck Alicia Beck, wife of Boulder, Colorado. She has six granddaughters and five grandsons.There are also numerous other family members in addition to speacial friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11am, Saturday, April 9th, 2011 at the Davis Mortuary chapel on West Charleston in Las Vegas. Burial will be at Palm Cemetary immediately following. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6pm on Friday, April 8th at the Davis Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association are welcomed.
She was loved deeply and will be forever in our hearts.
