Purificacion Pring Cortez

Purificacion Cortez, born on September 16, 1941, left us peacefully on December 8, 2025. A cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy that continues to inspire those who were privileged to know her.

She is survived by her loving children; daughters Edith Cortez Lingad, Ann C. De Leon, Joie C. Paule, Mira Cortez Garcia, Cherry C. Batac, Leah C. Patriarca; son Sam P. Cortez; sons-in-law Rodolfo De Leon, Alex Paule, Francis Aluague, Jeffrey Batac, Leo Patriarca; and daughter-in-law Lhey A. Cortez. Her memory will continue to be cherished by her grandchildren Donna Jamie Paule, John Kenneth Cortez, Kathleen Sarah C. Due, Rodann Jan C. De Leon, Franz Garcia, Russell Garcia, Benedict Garcia, Reign Batac, Brylle Batac, Louell Patriarca, Lander Patriarca, Anna Edith Lingad, and JC Cortez.

Purificacion was the proud sister of Abelita Manuel, Josefino Pring, Armando Pring, Soila Gozon, Marta Bautista, and Merle Pring Reyes. She was predeceased by her father Jose Bernal Pring, mother Africa Tulud Pring, beloved husband Santiago D. Cortez, son Santy P. Cortez, sister Transfiguracion Pangan, and brother Abelito Pring.

Purificacion's loving heart, enduring strength, and gentle soul will forever remain with us. Her memory will continue to guide and inspire us. Even in her absence, her love will always be a comforting presence. We find solace knowing that she is at peace and remains forever in our hearts.
