Pete J. Aleman, Jr., 74, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on March 30, 2024 in Las Vegas, NV surrounded by his immediate family. Pete was born in San Antonio, TX to Pete Aleman Sr. and Dolores Rincon Aleman on May 7, 1949.
Pete started teaching at CSN in 1989, retired in December 2015, and became an emeritus starting Spring 2016. During his tenure at CSN, Professor Aleman was a dean, department chair, and professor. He had a well-respected international reputation and spoke several languages. The international students heard of Professor Aleman and filled his IS 101 classes. He was very active in his Computing and Information Technology department. Professor Aleman was also a mentor to many staff and was well liked and respected.
Pete Aleman is survived by his wife of 52 years, Yushiow Wang; his son, Edward Aleman 49 years old; his four sisters: Maria Aleman, Imelda Reese, Janie Aleman, and Veronica Aleman.
His memorial service will be held at Davis Funeral Home, 1401 S. Rainbow Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146 on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 3:30 pm.
