It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann "Henry" Danielson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Patricia departed from this world on June 24, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Patricia was born on August 3, 1945, in the United Kingdom to Betty L Tomkins and Lawrence B Henry. Patricia was the eldest of 6 children. In 1947, she traveled to the United States with her mother to join her father, who had served in the U.S. Army Air Forces and the family settled in Towson, Maryland. Pat graduated from Eastern High School in 1963 and later worked for the local telephone company.
Pat met the love of her life, James "Jimmy" Danielson, at a polka dance while he was stationed at Fort Meade, Maryland. After a brief courtship, they married on September 6, 1968, and then relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. They remained by each other's side for 54 years until his passing in 2022. Patricia and James were pillars of strength for one another, facing life's triumphs and challenges together. Their unwavering support and dedication to one another served as an inspiration to all who knew them.
Patricia's love as a mother knew no bounds. As a stay-at-home mother, she poured her heart and soul into raising her three children, Cathleen "Cassie," James Jr. "Jamie," and Patrick. Patricia's unconditional love, guidance, and encouragement shaped her children into successful individuals. She instilled in them the importance of family, hard work, strength, and kindness, and her legacy will continue to shine through them.
Above all, Patricia cherished her role as a grandmother. She embraced this chapter of her life with sheer delight, treasuring every moment spent with her grandchildren. Their love brought her immeasurable joy, and she reveled in being a source of comfort, love, and wisdom in their lives. Grandma's spirit will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her grandchildren, who were truly her pride and joy.
Outside of her family, Patricia dedicated 22 years of her life to working at Citibank in various departments, ultimately concluding her career in Fraud Prevention before retiring. She was a dedicated employee, earning several awards for her perfect attendance and outstanding performance. Patricia had a deep passion for customer service and assisting her clients. Her kindness and compassion extended far beyond her inner circle, making her a true angel on Earth.
Although our hearts ache with the loss of Patricia, we find solace in knowing that she now rests in eternal peace alongside the love of her life, Jimmy. Her unwavering love and grace will forever serve as a reminder of the beauty she brought to our lives. Patricia will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Funeral services will be held at Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery on August 7, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Jimmy. A celebration of life gathering will immediately follow at Boulder Dam Brewing Co.
