Michele “Miki” Frances Simpson, 70, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on June 23, 1955, in Quincy, Massachusetts, Miki moved to Las Vegas in 1988, where she built a joyful life filled with family, friendship, and laughter.
Miki was known for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and her signature title as the “Queen of Greeting Cards.” She had a special way of making everyone feel special and celebrated, always spreading love through her thoughtful notes and generous heart.
Her greatest joy was being a mother to Stacie Albert, and her son-in-law, Tommy Albert II, whom she adored. She was a devoted Grammie to Tommy and Tessa, whose games and cheer events brought her endless pride and happiness. She never missed a chance to cheer them on, and she made every moment together fun, special, and full of love.
She is also survived by her siblings Cally Keating and Katie Cavaliere, her “Sisters of the Heart” Sue Linscott, Judi Lindsay, Dana Howard and Cheryl Plant and her “honorary daughter,” Simone Gardner-Musta.
She is preceded in death by Stacie's father, Joey, whom she always referred to as "The Love of Her Life. She is also preceded in death by her father, Edward J. Keefe, her mother, Edythe Keefe and her 2 sisters, Cheryl Norman and Joanne Canale.
Miki worked in medical supply coordination for home hospice patients, showing compassion and care to families in need. She was even recognized for her outstanding service to her patients and their families by being awarded the Citizen of Distinction Award, also known as The Super Hero Award from Optum Health. She found peace at the beach and joy in her home, hosting unforgettable holidays and celebrations for those she loved.
She lived by her favorite sayings: “There’s no place like home,” “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all” and “Forever Young!"
In lieu of flowers, our family has created the Michele Simpson Memorial Fund to honor her beautiful legacy of love and generosity.
Miki’s greatest joy was her family — especially her grandchildren, Tommy and Tessa. To continue her spirit of giving, this memorial fund will go toward their future education, something she always dreamed of supporting.
