Melynda Bown

Melynda Odett Bown Williams suddenly reached the sunset of her life on November 10, 2021 at the age of 35. Melynda was born on June 9, 1986 in Corpus Christi, TX to Nicholas and Phyllis Bown. That day the world shined a little bit brighter. Melynda graduated from Eldorado High School in 2006. Most recently, she worked as an assistant manager at Terrible Herbst. On April 22, 2017, Melynda married Jerin Williams Jr and became a proud step-mom to his three amazing children. Melynda’s greatest honor in life was the love she gave others. She was happiest when she was helping someone else. Melynda was selfless and fearless. She had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed her help. She truly enjoyed helping those in need. Melynda is preceded in death by her husband Jerin Williams Jr, grandfather, William “Bud” Everett Jr, and grandmother Sylvia Everett. She is survived by her mother, Phyllis Bown, father, Nicholas Bown (Amanda), grandparents, Jeff and Theresa Bown, siblings Leslie Hegner (Chris), Joseph Bown (Leslie), Theresa Bown, Samuel Bown, and Hailee Everett, step-children Jerin Williams III, Kharmyn Jones, and Jayla Jones, nephews, Jonathan Bown, Dallas Hegner, Joshua Heese, Jacob Bown, Leonidas Aust, and August House, and nieces Chloe Hegner, Adalynn Hegner, Baylee Aust and Delilah Aust. Many other family members and friends mourn her passing.
