Maria “Luth” Luisa Limbo-Salcedo

1964 - 2023

Maria "Luth" Luisa Limbo-Salcedo passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the age of 59 in her home in Las Vegas, NV.

Luth was born in Quezon City, Philippines, on Sunday, June 21, 1964. At the age of 15 in 1979, she moved with her family to California. After meeting the love of her life in 1985 at her friend's wedding, they married on Saturday, October 17, 1987. She obtained her Associate Degree in Business at Cerritos College in 1995. Luth gave birth to her only child on Thursday, November 7, 1996. Also in 1996, her new family moved into a house in Buena Park, CA. While living there, she worked in human resources for over 20 years at Greene Tweed. In 2015, she and her husband moved to Las Vegas, NV. During that time, she enjoyed working for ViaTRON Systems, Inc.

Luth was a fun, loving, friendly, and loyal individual who cared deeply about others. She always lit up the room with her loud laugh, high energy, and beaming smile, especially at family gatherings amongst her siblings. Her proudest moments include watching her daughter graduate from UCLA in 2018 and earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Duke University in 2022. She enjoyed spending her time listening and dancing to music, watching her favorite TV shows, eating good food, and spending time with the people she loved.

Luth is survived by her husband, Rolando "Romy" Celestino Salcedo, Jr.; daughter, Pia Louise Salcedo; sisters, Imelda "Mel" Gonzales, Epifania "Fanny" Blowe, Sylvia Alcobendas, Lourdes "Odette" Rondain, and Herminia "Bing" Niebres; brothers, Armando "Mandy" Limbo and Erning Limbo; nieces and nephews; and grand nieces and nephews. Luth was preceded in death by her parents, Angela and Ciriaco Limbo.

Family and friends are invited to honor the life of Luth at a viewing at Davis Funeral Homes & Memorial Park in Las Vegas, NV on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 2:00PM to 5:00PM. Memorial contributions and flowers may be given in her honor. Expressions of condolences to the family may be shared at this time.
