Las Vegas

Lynnette Nicole “Nicki” Johnson, 55, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, surrounded by loved ones, following complications from heart failure.

Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Nicki spent the first 44 years of her life in the city that shaped her before making her home in Las Vegas for the past 11 years.

She was a devoted mother to her two sons, Grant (25) and Jackson (19), and a loving wife to her husband, Luke. Nicki took tremendous pride in the men her sons have become. She welcomed the people they loved as part of her own circle, including Grant’s fiancée, Madisen, and Jackson’s girlfriend, Nikki, both of whom stood with the family throughout this time.

Nicki was a woman of strong will and unmistakable presence, but those who knew her best remember her warmth just as clearly. She cared deeply, protected fiercely, and had a smile that showed the tenderness beneath her strength. Her sense of humor brought levity to countless moments and is something her family and friends will miss profoundly.

She is also survived by her father, Kenneth Andersen — known to her simply as “Pops” — and his wife, Lynn Ward; and her sister, Ellie Laughlin, along with her nieces Jessica, Tali, and Leata. Each held a meaningful place in her life and remained a source of connection, support, and shared history. She also leaves behind her loyal dog, Motley, who was rarely far from her side.

Nicki was preceded in death by her mother and best friend, Jacqueline K. Dixon‑Andersen, and by her brother, Kenneth Andersen Jr.

Nicki built her career in banking, where she was known for her expertise, professionalism and commitment. Those who knew her best also understood she was so much more than her work. She brought presence, warmth, and quiet strength into every room she entered.

A private celebration of her life will be held in Portland in March 2026, with details to be shared by the family.
