Lois Yerger, 80, beloved mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and devoted chaplain, was called to her eternal resting place on March 8, 2026.

Born on November 18, 1945, in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, Lois was the daughter of Richard and Anne (Sterling) Batch and the youngest of four sisters: Donna, Sally, and Mary Lou. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Anne, and her sisters, Sally and Mary Lou.

From an early age, she carried a compassionate spirit and a lifelong love of learning that would define her life's work and relationships. Lois dedicated her career to caring for others, both in body and in spirit. She began her professional journey in healthcare, earning her certification as a Respiratory Therapy Technician in 1974, later becoming a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Her deep curiosity and commitment to education led her to continually expand her knowledge, achieving an Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care, a Bachelor of Science, and ultimately a Master of Science.

Answering a deeper calling, Lois devoted the later years of her life to ministry and chaplaincy. Guided by her faith and her enduring desire to grow and serve, she earned a Certificate in Theology, a Master of Divinity, and completed extensive Clinical Pastoral Education. She became a licensed and ordained chaplain, providing comfort, guidance, and compassion to countless individuals through her work in hospitals and hospice care. Her presence brought peace to those facing life's most difficult moments, and her faith-driven service touched many lives.

Lois is survived by her loving children: daughter Joey Yerger; and son, Jeffrey Yerger; sister, Donna; cherished grandson, Owen Johnson; and beloved granddaughter, Ellery Johnson.

She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, unwavering faith, and her dedication to helping others.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Main Chapel, at Davis Funeral Home, 1401 S. Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146.
