Kevin Joseph Thorn, age 57, passed away on February 15, 2026. Born on December 31, 1968, in Passaic, New Jersey, Kevin grew up in Fairfield, Montana, where he developed the strong character that would define his life. He earned his nursing degree from Montana State University immediately after high school and went on to graduate from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine to become a dedicated physician assistant.
Kevin will be remembered as kind, friendly, strong, and deeply funny. Throughout his lifelong battle with Diamond Blackfan anemia, Kevin remained a determined fighter. His humor and warmth made those around him feel at ease, and his resilience inspired everyone who knew him.
Kevin was a valued member of the Las Vegas medical community, caring deeply for his patients. He began his medical career as an ER nurse, working in a variety of healthcare settings. Kevin concluded his career with nearly a decade of service at Nevada Comprehensive Pain Center while navigating his own chronic health challenges with uncommon strength and determination. His professional life reflected his generous spirit - he showed up for others with empathy, warmth, and quiet courage.
Outside of his work, Kevin was passionate about music especially hair metal, and sports - Go Steelers! He enjoyed spending time on the golf course and at home poolside. He delighted in celebrating holidays particularly Halloween and Christmas. Above all, he treasured time with his children, Emily and Elijah, who were the center of his world.
Kevin is survived by his loving mother, Patricia; his brother, Jeff; his children, Emily and Elijah; and his wife, Jennifer. He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel. His memory will live on in the laughter he shared, the lives he touched, and the love he gave so freely.
Kevin's life reminds us of the power of perseverance, compassion, and joy - even in the face of adversity. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
