Joe Parker

Joe N. Parker, 87, of Las Vegas, passed away Aug. 13, 2012. He was born Aug. 5, 1925, in Laurel, Miss., and was an 18year resident of Nevada. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and worked with the U.S. Postal Service for 39 years before retiring. Joe was a member of Second Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Camille WilliamsParker two sons, Joe D. and Charles Parker two stepchildren, Linda and Shelvia Williams several grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Viewing will be at 12:30 p.m., Monday Aug. 20, with funeral services following at 1 p.m., both at Gatlings Funeral Home in Chicago.
