Jennifer Morelli, 73, was born on March 22, 1952, in Manhattan, New York, to her parents Frank and Lucy Morelli. An only child, Jennifer never married, but she was surrounded by the love of close friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and all her grandparents.
Jennifer is survived by her dear cousins, the Panou family—Carol Ann, Tasso, and Blake—who will forever cherish her memory. Her legacy is one of faith, service, and devotion to the Church she loved so dearly.
In New York, Jennifer found joy in the company of family; Sal Miranda and his two sons, cousins Michael and Anthony. When her father Frank retired from JFK Airport, the family relocated to Las Vegas.
Jennifer built a dedicated career in the wine and spirits industry, continuing her work in Las Vegas after the move. She also worked as a front desk clerk at the Flamingo Hilton. When the Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer was built, Jennifer volunteered as its first permanent secretary—a role she embraced with devotion, balancing her duties there during the day while working night shifts at the Flamingo. She later served as an administrative assistant to the head of the Rawson-Neilsen Psychiatric Hospital in Las Vegas.
A lifelong and devoted Catholic, Jennifer attended Mass and received Holy Communion several times a week, always faithfully attending on Sundays. She had a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Jennifer’s deep faith was evident until her final moments—she attended Mass and received Communion just 30 minutes before the tragic accident that claimed her life.
