Ines Estrada
January 20 ,1955 - May 2, 2026
“A quien le importa lo que yo haga, a quien le importa lo que yo diga, yo soy asi, asi siguiere
nunca cambiare” - Thalia
Ines Estrada, 73, peacefully passed away surrounded by those who loved her in her home in
Las Vegas, Nevada on May 2nd, 2026. Born in Mexico on January 20th 1955 , she lived a long
and fruitful life. Between 1960-1970 she immigrated to the United States with her mother and
worked in a sewing factory. While working at the sewing factory, she took side jobs cleaning
houses. Then one day in August of 1974, Ines had come to a home in Pomona to clean and
discovered the love of her life Daniel Estrada. Ines was proposed to that same week and they
happily got married later that same year on October 2nd. In the following year on May 27th, they
welcomed their first daughter Diana. Ines later moved with her husband and daughter to Long
Beach, California where she shared her home with many in her family.
Ines had six brothers and sisters and many of them would come to live with her in their
many homes over the years in California. Ines was always known as the mother hen in the
family and would take in anyone. She was a proud housewife who could create dinner for ten,
babysit many children, all while being a wonderful wife and mother. Then on January 26th 1984
she had a wonderful surprise and gave birth to her second daughter Maria. She would
eventually move from her apartment on Termino Avenue in Long Beach to her apartment on
Loma Avenue where she spent many years creating wonderful memories with her family and
her neighbors. During this time in this new apartment building, she was also enjoying living with
her brother Emilio and his wife Norma. Ines would help raise not only her daughters, but helped
raise young Norma and Emilio as well. Ines would be the core of this new family unit for the rest
of her life.
In those years, Ines would soon be blessed by her future grandchildren. They would
create heartwarming and loving memories with her for the rest of her days. On October 14th
1995, Norma’s daughter Betty was born and Ines welcomed her first blessing of a
granddaughter. On February 4th 1998, Ines welcomed with a huge heart her second
granddaughter Lourdes from her daughter Diana. On March 16th 2007, her daughter Maria
would welcome Ines’s bundle of joy, Melody. Ines would have the blessing of also welcoming
her only grandson Bryan on October 19th, 2009. Ines would help raise these children like her
own. She would be known as a woman who would happily care for any child who was entrusted
to her. She was a mom, a sister, a daughter, a wife, a grandma, an aunt and ultimately someone
everyone could depend on, young or old. As a housewife, children and family would be the most
important aspect in her life.
After years of creating these lasting memories caring for others, her husband Daniel
would retire and she would decide to take the next chapter in her life and move to her home
away from home, Las Vegas, Nevada. In her life, besides being a strong role model for others,
Ines was known for her famous cooking skills from making her famous cheesy spaghetti to her
delicious pambazos. From holiday gatherings and many family parties, Ines would always be
found in the kitchen leading the other women in the house. Ines, like her husband, was also a
music lover. She would enjoy the songs of Neil Diamond to Los Angeles Azules, and when she
was not in the kitchen she would be on the dance floor dancing the night away with the love of
her life. Ines was a woman with a big heart who cared for many, however she was also a
woman who brought tough love and was known for her fiery passion and attitude. Ines was a
force to be reckoned with and anyone who knew her would know she would do anything for the
ones she loved. Ines was a powerhouse and this is why she was known as the role model for
not only the women in the family but the men as well.
Ines was “Grandma”, “Mom”, “Tia Ines” and will always be remembered as the woman
who helped so many in their lives. Whether it was the best or worst times, Ines would provide
many in the family with food on the table, a roof over their head and tough love to match. Ines
was a “tough cookie” with a heart of gold. The best of both worlds in a woman. Someone who
would be a wonderful balance to her gentle and caring husband Daniel. Ines’s love and strength
will continue to carry on as part of her legacy with those she held close. She is survived by her
daughters Maria and Diana as well as her grandchildren, Betty, Lourdes, Melody, and Bryan.
