Edward Bower

October 27, 1930 — July 16, 2022

The Lord came and escorted Edward Jay Bower to live with him on July 16, 2022. Edward and his beloved Frances are together once again.

Ed was born October 27, 1930, the first of 2 sons to May and Hobart Bower in Norton, Kansas.

He is survived by his brother and family, 2 children, 3 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Frances, daughter of Lucy and George Jones, and Edward were married in Norton, Kansas on May 12, 1951. They were high school sweethearts. They moved their family to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1964.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a Korean Vet, and a Mason of the Norton Kansas Lodge. He enjoyed watching football. He kept track of his alma mater, KSU Wildcats, and the Green Bay Packers. Flags would fly on his flag pole depending on the outcome of each game! His brother is a Jayhawker leading to many exciting conversations over the years.

Ed wore many hats during his work career. Fifth-grade school teacher, REECo Nv Test Site, Rancho Sahara Medical Building Administrator, and employee of the City of Las Vegas. He had many stories to tell.

He is loved and the strength of our family. He is dearly missed. We love you and will meet again.
