Donna Ortega

Donna Mae Ortega was called to heaven on June 3rd, 2019 in Las Vegas, NV.  She was Born Feb 28, 1941 in Bowman, North Dakota.   A proud graduate of John McNamara School of Nursing, she was a first responder before it was prestigious. Donna served the Las Vegas community as an RN from 1964 - 2009, only taking a break to raise her children.  She volunteered countless hours to St. Viator Catholic School as a playground and lunch monitor. Donna was a huge UNLV basketball fan as well as Golden Knights fan and although too ill to attend any game in person, watched every one from her living room. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, James and Lenore Ryan and brothers, James and Kenneth.  She leaves behind her husband of 50 years Peter Ortega; her sister, Margie (Vorgitch); her three children, Crystal (Fulton), Kathleen (West), and Steven; her grandchildren: Raeanne, Bianca, Sophia, Jordan, Hayden and Andrew.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Viator Catholic Church, Friday, June 21st at 10am with Interment following at Davis Memorial Park located on 6200 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119

Reception to follow at Davis Funeral Home on 1401 S. Rainbow Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada 89146.
