David Hoover Obituary: A Life of Love and Strength
David Hoover, born July 3, 1978, was a proud Navy veteran who served three tours in Iraq. David was born in Kentucky, raised in Virginia, and later made Las Vegas, Nevada, his home. He is survived by his loving wife, Vicky Hoover; his children, Keyla Sciascia, Caden Hoover, Sierra Hoover, Jalyn Dixon, Courtney Dixon, and Riley Abanilla; and his mother, Sharon Hoover.
David Hoover lived his life with heart, humor, and unwavering love for the people around him. He loved deeply, laughed often, and gave everything he had to those he cared for.
He found joy in the simple things-barbecuing, cooking meals, and bringing people together. He had a sharp mind and a natural curiosity, with a love for math, science, and history. But more than anything, David loved his family. They were his purpose, his pride, and the reason behind everything he did.
David's daughter once shared the values he lived by-what she called "David's Rules"-a reflection of the way he showed up in life and the lessons he passed on:
Family first, always.
Give your all in everything you do.
Never start a fight, but always finish it.
Never give up-always keep trying.
Be your best self as much as possible.
Stay open-minded.
Live with love and no regrets.
Don't worry about what others think or say about you.
Love as much as possible.
These weren't just words-they were the way David lived. Through these values, he inspired everyone around him to be stronger, love deeper, and never give up.
