August 14, 1914 — January 7, 2021

Arrena Miles was born to Emma and Andrew Embry, August 14,1914 in Plumerville, Arkansas. She was the second of nine children born from her parents union. Both her parents and all eight of her siblings preceded her in death. at the young age of 21 Arrena moved to Los Angeles Ca where she married her husband Wrenis in 1946 and became the mother to 5 children. Her daughter Renee’ and her two sons Wrenis “Sammy” and Dennis also preceded her in death.

Although Arrena never had more then a 4th grade education she was very determined and successful in life. Some would consider her a jack of all trades. Arrena was very compassionate and caring and she helped many people in life. She became a caretaker at a very young age; first to her siblings and later turned that into a lifelong career. She started out cooking and cleaning for people until she was able to open her very own Café in Los Angeles California, Renee’s. Arrena dedicated her life to God and her final church home, St James missionary Baptist church, where she belonged until she went home to be with the Lord. Throughout her life Arrena has been considered an Angel to anyone that has been blessed enough to cross paths with her, she has inspired so many lives with her generosity and kindness. She is a definitive example of what a display of true love is. She and her memories will forever be in our hearts.

After 106 years of greatness, on January 7th 2021 the lord called her home. She leaves to cherish her memory Two children Cora Pierre and William Legere, eleven grandchildren Ashlee, Arrena, Candis, Wrenis, Anthony, Sheila, Sharon, Michael, Antonio, Brenda, Amber and, a host of Great grandchildren, niceces, nephews and, other relatives and friends.
