Ann Claybaugh Cochard, age 80, passed away on August 15, 2026, of natural causes in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born on August 21,1945, in Bell, California to Donn and Jeanne Claybaugh. Ann was the eldest of eight children - Den, Ken, Jonn, Connie, Winn, Bennett, and Brennan.

She graduated from Bella Vista High School in 1963 in Orangevale, California. She has worked as a nurse’s aide, housekeeper, and a custodian at UVSC, in Orem, Utah. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ann held positions of a teacher, nursery coordinator, young women’s sports director, and ward “greeter”.

Ann was first married in 1967 and divorced in 1991. She was married to her second husband, William (Bill) Cochard December 31,1996 until his death in October 2014. Their marriage was solemnized in the Provo, Utah LDS Temple.

Ann “never met a stranger’ and will be remembered as a very outgoing, friendly, fun, and loving person. Happy, sweet, and kind are words that best describe Ann, and her smile was always big and bright.

She is survived by her daughters, Jen Bushman and Laura Spencer, and sons Geoff and Bobby. She is preceded in death by her son, Joseph Johnson. Ann has 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren with one on the way.

A public viewing will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Davis Funeral Home, 1404 S. Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, Nevada. Following the viewing a gathering will be held at the home of Bobby and Faye Johnson.

On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, a public viewing will be held from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. with a memorial service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park chapel, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah. Ann will be buried alongside her husband Bill, with the burial service at 11:30 a.m.
