CAROL ANN GORDON
Carol Ann Gordon, 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Las Vegas on January 2nd, 2020, just a month short of her 20th wedding anniversary.
Born October 9th, 1957 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Carol was raised on the east coast: New York and New Jersey. She married and moved to Alabama, had 3 children: Brett, Cindy and Randi. She moved to St. Louis to raise them and eventually moved to Los Angeles and remained there for several years, before moving to Santa Fe.
A very keen bridge player and competitor, she played in tournaments in St. Louis, Los Angeles and Santa Fe winning several times and was runner up to the ‘Italian Blue Team’.
She liked music and opera - loved dogs and children – and preferred fine dining, social events, fashion and travel, particularly Europe: Paris and Venice were her favorite cities….Paris for the café’s, fashion and art, Venice for restaurants and Renaissance Festivals. One of her memorable European trips was to attend The Cannes Film Festival.
Known for her love of life and sense of humor, Carol will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carol is survived by her husband, Alex; children, Brett and Randi; grandchildren, Garrett, Natalie and William; her brother, Edward and his wife Lynda; nephews, Barry and Michael; niece, Samantha and step-daughter-in-law Cindy.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 19th at 10:00am with Service to follow at noon at Davis Funeral Home-Rainbow Chapel, 1401 S. Rainbow Boulevard, Las Vegas, Nevada 89146.
